Pick-up only parking, really. You got to be kidding me. They have handicapped parking, and pickup parking, but none for pregnant ladies, nor for families.

I love those types of signs. I park in the Hybrid Only spots at the grocery store. My El Camino gets about 9 mpg and burn both oil and gas.
Around here those signs don't mean anything. They aren't enforceable.

Does Canadian Tire carry anything that would be heavy to load?

It might be an attempt to get people with large trucks to avoid parking in with all the small cars. It does create a bit of a safety problem if you need to reverse out of a spot but you can only see what's directly behind you, cause there's a couple large trucks beside you. Depending on the car and trucks in question, the car could've got a hell of a roll going in the space it took to actually see around the truck. Although this is just me using my imagination. The only other thing I can think of is that's for delivery vehicles... but that's a stupid sign to use for that purpose.

I’ve seen pregnant ladies parking spaces. Are family only spaces a thing?

Yes, families with young children

It reminds me of the “Veterans Only” spots at Home Depot. I admit, I use them if they’re open but I always feel a little guilty. I’m a veteran but it’s not like I’m disabled or anything. Funny thing, though. Nobody has checked my DD214 yet.

You still have plenty of time to have kids.
I was 35 when had our daughter, now i’m 39 with my 4 year old girl, my soon to be 3 year old son and my soon to be 4 month son.
And we have a soon to be 10 year old girl, that my wife had before she met me.
When I was 31 I still didn't want kids, and never would of thought that in less than 10 years I would be driving a 7 passenger cvt cuv with 4 kids...

I work for a construction company that builds multi use properties (housing and retail). Those signs are always specified but around here the only legal signs are handicap parking. Anything else is a suggestion.

You know what I miss? The old school Canadian Tires where you had spots so big there was three feet of clearance on all sides of a 70s New Yorker.
It’s a shame they’ve fallen so far.

The malls around me have signs that read “expectant mothers or families with small children.”

I’ve seen the expectant mothers ones, mostly at places like Whole Foods. They usually have pink stork icons on them. Cute.
